Things worth knowing
Footwear: Japanese size is literally the foot length in centimeters. If your foot measures 25.3 cm, look for a 25.5. Sizes usually go up in half-centimeter steps.
Clothing: Japanese sizes run roughly one size smaller than European. If you wear M in Europe, you likely need L or LL in Japan. Trying on is strongly recommended.
Rings: Japan uses its own numbering (#1 to #25+) based on the inner circumference in millimeters, not US inches or rounded European mm.
Foreign brands in Japan: shops like Uniqlo, GU or Muji label in global sizes (XS-XXL) alongside Japanese ones — fits in those brands tend to be more universal.
